I have always loved the historical novel., but Diana Gabaldon has surpassed most authors when her impressive historical research. Her characters are so well thought out, and the storylines are stunningly complicated. Ron has taken this masterpiece and brought it to life. Granted there are a few differences in blot and description, but Ron has remained very true to the main story, and his wife Terry has excelled in the design department in regard to the magnificent costumes. I am also taken a back the music....Wow, I can't seem to get the Skye Boat Song (Opening Theme Song) song out of my head! But I also must insist that you read everyone of the series books .... It is a delight in adventure And the most incredible love story (Jamie and Claire), I have ever read......This girl is looking forward to the rest of the adventure.!!!!!!

Hi seattlannie :)I am so glad I decided to watch the new series. I would not have missed this adventure for the world. I have seen such a huge buzz about Outlander on the social networks. It looks like everyone is blown away at how well Ron, the actors and Starz have "brought this to life" as you said. I am absolutely going to read all of the books. In fact, it is on my to do list, for today to order the first one. I was so amused today while watching one of the video discussions from the blog"My Outlander Purgatory". After watching the two ladies, I felt much better about my new fascination and love for this series. They were hilarious. Thanks for your comments and I look forward to sharing the whole experience with this group. The blog Video [so funny]
